Today I’m sharing simple but delicious recipe for banana brownie. Click here to see original one. Feel free to experiment with ingredients and toppings.
175g dark chocolate
150g brown sugar
2 medium-sized bananas OR 1 banana and 3-4 big spoons of peanut butter
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
100g self-raising flour OR 100 g plain flour + 1 tsp baking powder + a pinch of salt
2 teaspoons cocoa
100 g chocolate chips OR mixed dried fruits OR chopped mixed nuts
add almond flakes OR chopped pecan nuts/walnuts before baking
drizzle with melted chocolate after baking and cooling
In a saucepan, melt the chocolate, butter and sugar together, stirring until smooth. In a bowl, mash-up the bananas roughly with a fork. Add the eggs, bananas and vanilla into the chocolate mixture and stir until well mixed. Sift in the flour, cocoa and chocolate chips (or mixed dried fruits/chopped nuts) and mix well. Pour the mixture into the 20 cm square tin (lined with baking paper) and bake for 30 – 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
Happy baking 🙂
